Lesson 5 โ Lunch Time - Food and Preferences
๐Part 1: Lunch Together
It is Friday. It is 12:00. Lunch time! The students are in the cafeteria. They sit together at a big table.
Peter opens his lunch bag. "I have a sandwich and an apple," he says. "I'm very hungry!"
"What is in your sandwich?" asks Amy.
"Cheese and tomato," says Peter. "I like cheese very much. Do you like cheese?"
"Yes, I do!" says Amy. "I love cheese! I also love pizza. Pizza has cheese!"
Amy shows her lunch. "I have pizza today. I also have an orange and a bottle of water."
"Pizza for lunch! Lucky!" says Alejandro. "I have rice and chicken. In Argentina, we eat empanadas for lunch. Empanadas are delicious!"
Mishiko opens her bento box. "I have rice, fish, and vegetables. In Japan, we eat rice every day."
"Do you like fish?" asks Peter.
"Yes, I like fish very much," says Mishiko. "But I don't like spicy food."
Mr. Parker walks by. "Remember to eat healthy food. Fruits and vegetables are very important!"
The bell rings. Lunch time is over. "See you later!" says Amy.
The students leave the cafeteria. They are ready for afternoon classes.
